Salvation Army, Dock Spiders Hosting “Christmas in July” next Month

The Fond du
Lac Salvation Army is once again partnering with the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders
and our sister station 107.1 The Bull (WFON) for Christmas in July coming next
month to Herr-Baker Field in Fond du Lac. The event takes place on Tuesday,
July 9^th as the Dock Spiders host Wisconsin Rapids for a 6:35 pm
game. Fans attending the game are encouraged to bring packages of new socks
with them – as the Salvation Army will once again be hosting a sock drive to help
supply students returning to school in the fall with new socks. 800 students
were helped by the Christmas in July sock drive last year, and the Salvation
Army hopes to increase that number to 1,000 this year. Each person who donates
socks will receive a coupon to the Dock Spiders team store. Fans can also get a
special discounted ticket rate for the game, available through the Salvation
Army.
