Sargento to build new production facility near Plymouth

One of the largest cheese companies in the area is investing in the Plymouth community by purchasing land in the Plymouth area in Sheboygan County to build a new facility.

Sargento has announced plans to build a new production facility in Plymouth, which will ultimately be the largest investment in the company’s history.

Sargento, which is already based in Sheboygan County, recently acquired 66 acres of land on State Highway 57 near County Road PP, where this new facility will be constructed.

The company plans to relocate its manufacturing operations to the new location, when construction is complete sometime in 2027.

While it’s not believed this move will create new jobs initially, the new state-of-the-art facility will allow for more space to grow in the future.

Construction is set to start next spring.
