Second Fond du Lac Homicide Suspect In Custody

On Friday, September 8, 2023, with the assistance from the United States Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, Antonio K. Johnston, was taken into custody without incident in Chicago, Illinois while at a friend’s house. Johnston is currently in-custody with authorities in Chicago, IL and will be awaiting extradition back to Wisconsin.

Chief Aaron Goldstein said, “The arrest of Johnston reflects FDLPD’s commitment to holding individuals who chose to put our community at risk responsible for their criminal actions here. Not a day has gone by that I have not thought about May 7th and this senseless tragedy. The impact of this tragedy is far reaching. From the onset, Lead Detective Nick Hahn and our outstanding Detective Bureau worked tirelessly with steady focus and determination alongside the US Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force to locate Johnston and take him into custody.”

Both suspects face up to life in prison and are charged with :

First Degree Intentional Homicide and Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide as a Party to a Crime with a Dangerous Weapon.

First Degree Reckless Injury as a Party to a Crime with a Dangerous Weapon.

Injury by Negligent Use of a Dangerous Weapon and Four Counts of First-Degree Reckless Endangering Safety with a Dangerous Weapon.

All charges come with enhancers of Violent Crime in a School Zone
