UPDATE: Subject In Custody—-Second Huber Walkaway Reported

UPDATE:

This morning, Friday, April 28, 2023, Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt received a tip as a result of the county’s press release yesterday that Michael Kirk checked into the Holiday Inn Express in Beaver Dam.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Beaver Dam Police Department, and Dodge County Human Services made contact with him at his hotel room.

The subject barricaded himself inside his hotel room when contact was attempted at about 9:30 a.m.

A Dodge County Sheriff’s Office negotiator used her skills to successfully talk the subject out of his room and the subject was taken into custody peacefully at about 12:40 PM.

Sheriff Dale Schmidt would like to thank the public for their assistance and the collaborative work of everyone involved.

For a second time this week, local law enforcement are asking the public for help looking for a huber inmate walk away. This time in Dodge County.

Michael Kirk walked away from work release yesterday sheriff’s officials said and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. According to ccap, Kirk was charged in Dodge County with bail jumping and 2 counts of damage to property. Both class I felonies.

Anyone with information on Kirk’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office at 920-386-3726. You’re asked not to make contact with him.

Officials in Ozaukee County are still on the lookout for a huber walk away as well.

Joshua Holden was out on work release privilege and left his place of employment and never showed up back at the jail as required.

Holden was serving a 120-day sentence for felony bail jumping and was scheduled to be released on May 25th.

He’s described as a 5-foot, 11-inch tall, 41-year-old black male, weighing around 215 pounds and wears glasses.

His last known address was in Plymouth but he also has ties in Fond du Lac and Milwaukee.
