Seniors Get Free Admission And Extras At Milwaukee County Zoo June 12th, 19th And 26th

The Milwaukee County Zoo has announced that the next 3 Mondays, guests aged 60 and over get free admission to the zoo along with free entertainment.
All seniors along with caretakers get in free between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Parking fees will still apply.
The program, called Senior Safari, is also offering special activities for guests to participate in.
Live music and dancing will be on hand each day with the first Monday featuring a polka band, second Monday an Elvis impersonator and the 3rd Monday will feature
a band playing old hits of Motown.
Yoga, light exercise and a slow walk through the zoo led by zoo pride volunteers will take place each day.
All activities are free unless otherwise noted (regular parking fees apply).
· St. Camillus Senior Health Outreach: Start your day with a complimentary apple from St. Camillus, while supplies last. Then visit their booth to learn about senior services and meet St. Camillus personnel. Located in the U.S. Bank Gathering Place
· Entertainment sponsored by Network Health: Put on your dancing shoes for live music from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

· Pickleball: This popular paddle sport is the fastest-growing sport in America! It’s fun for people of all ages and will keep you moving. 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Located outside the North Shore Bank Safari Train Station
· Dino Don’s Journey to the Ice Age sponsored by Sendik’s Food Market: The Ice Ages began 2.4 million years ago when the climate repeatedly changed between very cold periods when glaciers covered vast parts of the world. Be amazed by a magnificent menagerie of giant mammals who roamed the world during this time. From saber-toothed tigers to woolly mammoths and giant sloths, trek through the forest to meet these magnificent beasts! Opens at 9:30 a.m. / $4 Located outside, behind the Small Mammals Building
· Animal Chat: Learn about and meet one of the Zoo’s resident animal ambassadors! 10:30 a.m. Located at Generac Zoo Terrace
· Chair Yoga: Join in for beginner-level sessions designed to get your body ready to explore the Zoo. 10 a.m. / 10:30 a.m. / 11 a.m. Located outside, on the patio behind the Flamingo Café
· Silver Sneakers EnerChi sponsored by St. Camillus: A relaxing exercise suitable for all skill levels. Practice slow, gentle movements from seated and standing positions. Improves joint mobility, strength, and sense of well-being. 11:30 a.m. Located outside, on the patio behind the Flamingo Café
· Fun Walk: Enjoy a slow-paced walk through the grounds, led by Zoo Pride volunteers. They’ll discuss the sights and share their vast knowledge about all things Zoo. (Be sure to return weekly because each Monday of Senior Safari will have a different route!) 11:30 a.m. Walk begins at Meijer Zoo Expeditions
· Animals in Action Talks: Learn about some of our most popular animals through these special presentations:
o Gorilla/Bonobo — 10:30 a.m. — Apes of Africa
o Elephants — 11:30 a.m. — Elephants in Action Pavilion
o Camels — 2:15 p.m. — Camel Habitat or Theater
o Harbor Seals — 3 p.m. — Harbor Seal Habitat
· Meijer Zoo Expeditions: Give your feet a rest and join us on our Expedition Shuttle – re-imagined for 2023! With five convenient stops around the Zoo, your favorite animals are a quick ride away! Visit the Meijer Zoo Expeditions Headquarters for more information.
· Safari Train sponsored by North Shore Bank: Relax and enjoy a ride through the Zoo on our famous miniature train. Opens at 10 a.m. / $4
