Serial Prowler Arrested In Fond du Lac

On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at approximately 12:11a.m., the City of Fond du Lac Police Department responded to the 200 block of Bischoff Avenue for a report of a male attempting to enter a residence.

Officers flooded the area and quickly established a perimeter in an attempt to locate the suspect. A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit responded and attempted a track while City of Fond du Lac Officers deployed a drone to check the area. The suspect was located in the 400 block of Roosevelt Street and was taken into custody without further incident.

The suspect, a 46-year-old Fond du Lac male, was arrested by the Fond du Lac Police Department and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of two counts of Criminal Trespass to Dwelling and Disorderly Conduct.  The suspect also was issued multiple citations for prowling.

The City of Fond du Lac Police Department received multiple prowling complaints (looking in windows) in the northeast neighborhood between June 2nd and June 18th. On June 13th the prowler was reported to have entered a residence in the 200 block of Bischoff Avenue.

With the increase in prowling complaints the department deployed numerous resources each evening in and around the northeast neighborhood using unmarked squads, undercover vehicles, undercover Officers, patrol bikes, drones, K9s and thermal imaging equipment all focused on the safety and security of this neighborhood. The suspect was identified and arrested due to the combined effort of tips and videos from community members and the determination of FDLPD Officers.

The investigation into this incident remains under active investigation. No further details or information are being released at this time.
