Serious injury crash State Highway 33 near Fox Lake

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle crash with serious injuries on State Highway 33 near Ireland Road, about one mile south of Fox Lake.

Shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024, a witness reported a single-vehicle crash. The initial investigation showed a passenger car was northbound on State Highway 33, drifted onto the right shoulder, back onto the roadway, and then in a spin-off the road to the right, striking an embankment. An adult male passenger in the car received serious and possibly life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam, where they were then flown to a level 1 trauma center.

During the investigation, the driver, a juvenile female who appeared uninjured, lost consciousness and was also taken by ambulance to the hospital, and also flown to a level 1 trauma center.

There was an infant passenger in a car seat that was taken to the hospital as a precaution but appeared uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation. The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by Fox Lake EMS and Fire Department, Beaver Dam paramedics, Beaver Dam Police, and UW Med Flight.
