Severe weather awareness next week in Wisconsin

As the Spring season creeps in, it’s once again time to start thinking about your plan of action for if and when severe weather hits.

The week of April 13-17 is Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin and On April 16th, there will be a statewide tornado drill.

Fond du Lac County Emergency Management Director John Ross says the two drills offers an opportunity to practice your plans both at home and at work. The two drills are planned to take place at about 1:45pm and another at approximately 6:45pm. NOAA Weather radios and outdoor warning sirens may be activated during the drills.

If there is threating weather in the state on April 16th, the drill will be postponed until the following day, Friday, April 17th.
