Severe Weather Forecasted Saturday

The Storm Prediction Center has a large portion of Wisconsin in an enhanced risk for severe weather Saturday afternoon into Saturday night. A level three out of their five level system.
While all severe storm threats are possible, The Center says severe wind gusts will be the primary threat for the Fond du Lac County area, while western Wisconsin will see a better chance of tornadoes and hail.
According to the latest forecasting models, a line of storms looks to enter western Wisconsin from Minnesota at some point in the afternoon. Differences in timing on the different models leaves a question of exactly when the storms will reach Fond du Lac County, though the National Weather Service increases rain chances from 20% to 80% between the 4 pm and 7 pm time frame.
The cause of the storms is due to a cold front that is forecasted to race across the state, plowing into a warm and humid airmass with temps in the upper 80s and dewpoints approaching 70 according to the National Weather Service.
