Severe Weather Spotter Training Tonight In Lamartine
Severe weather isn’t being forecasted anytime soon but the National Weather Service says it’s not too early to learn how to spot severe weather and report it to them.
Tonight at 6:30, Tim Halbach of the National Weather Service will be in Lamartine teaching just that.
A 2 hour training seminar will take place at the Town of Lamartine Municipal Building at N5269 Schaefer Drive in Lamartine.
Halbach will teach what aspects of storms need to be identified and how to identify them as well as different ways to get that information to the National Weather Service.
It is highly recommended for members of law enforcement, fire service, EMS, dispatchers and other first responders and amateur radio operators, but also for anyone that has an interest in weather and a calling to report severe weather in and around their communities.
Preregistration is not required and the seminar is free to attend.
