Sex Offender Moving from City of FDL to Address in FDL County

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is notifying the
public about a sex offender being moved from an address in the City of Fond du
Lac to an address in the county. Jeffrey Abitz will be moving to an apartment
at N6221 County Highway K on Friday (November 1^st). Abitz was
recently released from prison after serving time for a conviction of Manufacture/Delivery
of Heroin and Possession of Narcotic Drugs. A news release says Abitz
previously served prison time on convictions for two counts of 2^nd Degree
Sexual Assault of a Child in 1991. That conviction stemmed from sexually
assaulting a 15-year-old female relative who was a relative of his then-girlfriend.

Abitz is on extended supervision until March of 2027 and must
not have unsupervised contact with minors, cannot be at taverns, bars or liquor
stores and cannot use alcohol or illegal drugs. He is also on lifetime GPS
monitoring.
