Sheboygan County barn destroyed by overnight fire

On Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 3:26 a.m., the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a barn with two attached silos on fire at N3685 County Road NN in the Town of Lyndon.

The barn contained hay, two tractors, and an ATV was completely destroyed. There was also an unidentified number of chickens that were in the barn at the time of the fire. Some of the chickens made it out of the barn, however, it is believed that there were a few trapped in the barn and perished in the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and remains under investigation.
