Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Deputy involved in crash while on duty
On Wednesday, July 08, 2026, at approximately 4:35 PM, the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center was notified by an on-duty deputy that they had been in a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of County Highway V and County Highway I in the Town of Lima.
The 27 year old deputy was on patrol driving west on County Highway V. The other vehicle was operated by a 17 year old male from Waldo. He was travelling north on County Highway I and had stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of County Highway V. He then continued north, striking the patrol squad. The deputy was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital. No one else was injured.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the accident and it remains under investigation.
