Sheboygan middle school canceled classes after man found deceased in parking lot

Students at a Sheboygan middle school had an unplanned day off Friday, May 29, 2026, when the body of a deceased man was located in the parking lot of the school as kids were arriving.

Investigation into the incident said the 51 year old Sheboygan man had crashed while riding a bicycle in the parking lot after hitting a parking barrier at the Horace Mann Middle School at 2820 Union Avenue.

Officials say the crash happened overnight and the man was found deceased around 6:30 a.m.

Due to the incident, the school district made the decision to not hold classes at the school yesterday.
