Sheboygan Teen Arrested for Having a Gun at School

A 13-year-old student at a Sheboygan Middle School was
arrested Monday for having a gun inside his backpack at school. Police were
called to Farnsworth Middle School around 9:30 Monday morning after a teacher
noticed a student smelled like Marijuana. During a search of the student’s
backpack, a police officer found an unloaded gun. The student reportedly told
officers he had no intentions of using the gun at school or harming anyone, and
further investigation determined the boy stole the gun from a friend’s home.
The student was taken into custody, and faces charges of possession of a
dangerous weapon by a minor, possession of a firearm in a school zone, possession
of drug paraphernalia and burglary.
