Skid loader destroyed by fire, damages shed near Plymouth

On Friday, November 14, 2025, a skid loader started on fire inside a shed at W4239 Sumac Rd, about two miles south east of Plymouth.

At 3:43 p.m. the property owner called in the fire and upon arrival, crews found the piece of equipment fully engulfed in flames.

Because apparatus from many of the surrounding departments were at a gas leak near Cascade, other outside departments were called to assist with this fire.

As a result of the fire, the skid loader, the shed, and other equipment inside the shed were damaged. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
