Super Bowl 47

The San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens are putting the finishing touches on their game plan for Super Bowl 47 in New Orleans.  You’ll hear the game on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.  The kickoff is set for 5:30pm.

 

Donald Driver Retires

After 14 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, WR Donald Driver announced his retirement on Thursday.  Driver is the team’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards.  Their will be a special retirement ceremony at the Lambeau Field Atrium on Wednesday at 11am.  There will be 1000 tickets to the event distributed at the Packer ticket office Friday morning at 9am.

Badgerland Conference Tournament In Fond du Lac

The Blueline Family Ice Center will be the sight of the first every Badgerland Conference Hockey Tournament tonight and Saturday.  Teams played first round games on Tuesday at their home rinks and tonight the semifinals in both the winners and consolation bracket will be played.  On the main rink, #1 seed Appleton will play #4 Oshkosh at 6pm.  #2 seed Fond du Lac will play St. Mary’s Springs at 8:15pm.  The losers will play for 3rd place at 2:30pm on Saturday with the title game set for 5pm on Saturday night.  You’ll hear both the games on Saturday on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ and kfiz.com.

 

Ledgers Run By Lions

St. Mary’s Springs sprinted by Lomira 85-73 on Thursday night at the Hutter Gym.  Eric Feldner hit six 3-pointers and scored 26 to pace the Ledgers.  Darin Ward scored 15 of his 17 in the 2nd half.  Lomira Senior Sawyer Hoff scored 33 points to lead Lomira.  The Ledgers improve to 16-2 overall and 9-1 in the Flyway. Lomira drops to 2-8 in the league and 6-11 overall. 

 

Fondy Hoops on KFIZ

The Fond du Lac boys basketball team hosts Kimberly tonight at the Acuity FIeldhouse.  Coverage begins at 7:05pm with the Backyard Grill Pregame Show.  The tip is set for 7:30pm on KFIZ and kfiz.com
