Fondy Hoops on KFIZ
The Fond du Lac boys basketball team will head to Stevens Point for a WIAA Division One Regional Final tonight. Fondy upset #2 seed Neenah on Friday night. On Saturday, SPASH stopped Appleton West. The winner travels to #1 seed Oshkosh North in the Sectional Semifinal on Thursday night. Coverage begins at 6:35pm with the Backyard Grill Tip-Off Show
Round 3 Set For D4 Sectional
Both St. Mary’s Springs and Laconia won Regional Boys Basketball Championships on Saturday night. St. Mary’s Springs stopped Brookfield Academy 59-49 while Laconia downed Milwaukee Destiny 60-55. Laconia swept the regular season series between the teams. They will meet in the Sectional Semifinals on Thursday night at Fond du Lac High School.
Fondy Hockey At State
The Fond du Lac boys hockey team is getting ready for Thursday’s State Quarterfinals. The Cardinals will face Superior at 8:15pm Thursday night.You’ll her it on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ
Cactus League
The Brewers lost to Cleveland 7-4 on Sunday in Cactus League action. Mark Rogers gave up 2 runs, two hits and three walks in an inning and two-thirds of work. Nori Aoki went 2×3 with a run scored for the Crew. The Brewers will split the squad today and play both the Reds and the Padres. Our first Brewers radio broadcast of the year is this Friday when Milwaukee takes on Oakland.
Johnson Wins Daytona
Jimmie Johnson won his 2nd Daytona 500 on Sunday. Dale Earnhardt, Junior was 2nd. Pole sitter Danica Patrick was 3rd on the last lap but faded to 8th. Matt Kenseth had mechanical issues and finished 37th.

Matt Kuchar defeated Hunter Mahan 2&1 to win the Accenture Match-Play Championship
