NFL Voids Payton Contract
Sources reported on Sunday that the NFL has voided the contract extension that suspended Saints head coach Sean Payton signed with New Orelans in 2011. Payton is suspended the entire season for his alleged failure to stop the Saints bounty program in which players were allegedly paid for big hits or injuring players on opposing teams. That means Payton could be a coaching free agent next offseason.
