More High School Football on KFIZ today. Winnebago Lutheran hosts Saint Mary’s Springs. pregame at 12:30, kickoff at 1pm.
Cross Country:
Fond du Lac Boys and Girls competed in their home invite on Friday afternoon. The Cardinal boys placed 4th, with Noah Tagliapietra finishing 4th individually. Madison Hughes led the Cardinal girls, placing 9th individually.
Area teams also competed in the “Nightfall Classic” at Wisconsin Dells.
St. Mary’s Springs: Girls 2nd, Boys: 8th. Morgan Krupp placed 8th for the girls, Sam Busse led the boys with a 12th place finish individually
North Fond du Lac/Oakfield: Girls: 5th, Boys 8th. Linda Lopez led the girls team individually in 17th place. Diego Charbonneau finished 11th for the boys.
Laconia: Boys 4th, Girls 6th. Alec Potter placed 4th for the boys, Cyna Madigan 4th for the girls
College Football: The Badgers play at Michigan today. They will do so without Linebacker Vince Biegel, who will miss several weeks after having surgery on his right foot on Thursday evening. Biegel reportedly had a screw put in place to help heal a crack in his foot. Biegel had started 29 games in a row for the Badgers before his injury. We will join the Badgers/Michigan game in progress on KFIZ following High School Football.
The Brewers drop game one of their final 3 game set of the year, 4-1 to Colorado on Friday night. Nolan Arenado and Nick Hundley homered for the Rockies, while Chris Carter’s long ball in the 4th provided the only scoring for Milwaukee. Game 2 is tonight, we will join the broadcast after Badgers postgame on KFIZ.
