The Brewers lost to the Cubs
6-4 on Friday night at Miller
Park.  Milwaukee
must win one of their final two games to finish with a winning record as they
sit at 81-79.  You’ll hear game 2 of the
series tonight. Coverage begins at 5:35pm on KFIZ.

 

Oshkosh North took command
of the Valley Football Association South with a 21-14 win at Fruth Field on Fond du Lac’s Homecoming
on Friday night.  North’s Jared Dittmer
caught three touchdown passes from quarterback Alex Hintze to account for all
three Spartan scores.  Dittmer’s first TD
reception came with 6:36 left in the 1^st quarter to give Oshkosh North the 7-0
lead.  Fondy tied it at 7-7 with just :58
second left in the half when Justin Maratik scored from one yard out.  Dittmer caught touchdown passes of 10 and 34
yards to make it 21-7 through three quarters. 
Ryan Collien pulled down a 31 yard TD pass in double coverage to make it
a one score game with 7:02 left in the 4^th quarter but Fondy’s
offense couldn’t muster a game tying drive late.  The loss drops Fond du Lac to 3-1 in FVA South play and 5-1
overall.  Oshkosh North improves to 4-0
in the league and 5-1 overall.  Fondy
heads to Titan Stadium to take on Oshkosh West next Friday night in a game
you’ll her on KFIZ.   Oshkosh North
travels to Neenah.

St. Mary’s Sprigs improved
to 6-0 on the season and 4-0 in the Wisconsin Flyway Conference with a 44-0 win
over Winnebago Lutheran on Friday night at Viking Field.  St. Mary’s Springs senior Zach Hintze kicked field goals of 23, 41, and 50
yards.  The win clinches a playoff spot
for the Ledgers.  The will host Mayville
on Saturday, October 4^th for Homecoming.  You’ll hear that game on K107.1  The loss drops WLA to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in
the Flway.  John Boggs’ squad hosts
Lomira next Friday night night.  They
must beat the Lions and then win at Mayville and at North
Fond du Lac to secure a postseason bid.
