Brewers owner Mark Attanasio was at Miller Park on Wednesday night and addressed the Ryan Braun situation on the Brewers television network and with reporters in the Press Box. Attanasio says that he was “sad” when he heard the news about Ryan Braun.  Attanasio says that it will take a long time for Braun to earn back everyone’s trust.  He says that he hopes Braun will speak on the situation when he can.  Braun is under contract with the Brewers through 2021 which guaranteed money of about $130 million dollars.


Brewers Win

Carlos Gomez went 4×4 and drove in a pair as the Brewers picked up a 3-1 win over San Diego on Wednesday night at Miller Park.  Kyle Lohse gave up one earned run and five hits over seven innings to pick up the win.  Jim Henderson threw the 9th for his 11th save of the season.  The series wraps up this afternoon.  Yovani Gallardo gets the start for Milwaukee.  Coverage begins at 12:35pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

Packers

Wednesday was move-in day for the Green Bay Packers as they moved into their St. Norbert College dorms.  The team is having physicals and meetings today.  The first workout is set for 8:20am on Friday.  It will be open to the public weather permitting. 


Badgers Lose A Pair

Wisconsin Badgers head coach Gary Andersen announced at Big Ten Media Day that they have lost a pair of players for the season.  Running back Vonta Jackson and wide receiver Marquis Mason are both gone for the year because of knee injuries. 


Soccer

The United States reached the Gold Cup Final with a 3-1 win over Honduras.  Landon Donovan scored two goals and set up another in the win.  The United States will play Panama on Sunday in Chicago in the final.
