A five run sixth inning
lifted Kansas City
to a 7-2 win over the San Francisco Giants in Game 2 of the World Series on Friday
night. The series is all even at 1-1 as they head to San Francisco for Game 3 on Friday night.

 

The Packers continue to get
ready for a trip to New Orelans on Sunday Night Football.  Sam Shields, Morgan Burnett, Datone Jones,
and James Starks all sat out practice on Wednesday.  Aaron Rodgers was named the NFC Offensive
Player of the Week.  Sunday’s kickoff is
set for 7:30pm.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

 

The Bucks lost their
preseason finale to the Timberwolves 110-91 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center
on Wednesday night.  Jabari Parker had 18
to lead Milwaukee.  The Bucks open the regular season on
Wednesday night in Charlotte.

The Fond du Lac Cardinals were well represented
on the Valley Football Association All-Conference Team that was released on
Wednesday.  On the offensive line,
seniors Peter Andrew and Aaron Wehner made the first team.  Senior WR Brian Luteyn, junior running back
Justin Maratik and senior QB Jack Nejedlo were also 1st team All-VFA
South.  On defense Senior defensive end
Robert Windsor, senior linebacker Lucas Raube, and junior safety Jake
Walgenbach all make first team All-VFA South. 
Offensive lineman Wyat Holzman, defensive lineman Tyler Miller and
linebacker Jason Toshner all make the 2nd team.  OT Charlie Immel, center Jace Lanning,
fullback Mark Dilling, DL Tanner Koenigs, LB, Jacob Stadler, CB Ryan Collien,
and CB Matt Ryan were Honorable Mention. 
Peter Andrew was the Offensive Lineman of the Year, Brian Luteyn was the
WR/TE of the Year, Robert Windsor was the Defensive Lineman of the Year. Windsor is also the Co-Defensive Player of the Year with Stevens Point’s Noel
Winch.

 

The high school football
playoffs kickoff on Friday night across the state.  We’ll have a pair of games on the radio at
Mountain Dog Media.  Here on KFIZ, Fond du Lac hosts
Janesville Craig.  Coverage begins at
5:30pm on Friday night with the Tim Cruz Agency American Family Insurance
Kickoff Show.  The game starts at
7pm.  You can buy your tickets in advance
for the game today and Friday at Fondy High between 7:30am and 4pm today and
between 7:30am and Noon on Friday.  They
will go on sale at Fruth at 5:45pm on Friday night as well.

Springs plays Manitowoc Lutheran at North Fond du Lac
in a Division Six first round matchup.
