The Badger men’s basketball
team is #16 in the AP Poll and #18 in the Coaches Poll this week.  Syracuse
remains #1 followed by Florida, Wichita State,
and Arizona
in both poll.  Wisconsin
heads to Iowa
on Saturday. 

 

The WIAA High School Hockey
Tournament kicks off with regional action across the state of Wisconsin tonight.  St. Mary’s Springs hosts Grafton at the Blueline Family Ice Center and you’ll hear all the action on
News-Talk 1450 KFIZ presented by BCI Burke Company.  The puck drops at 7:30pm.  Playoff hockey is brought to you by Taco Bell
on KFIZ.

 

Mother nature postponed
Monday night sporting events last night. 
Fond du Lac’s
boys basketball game at Appleton East was moved to tonight.  The tip is set for 5:45pm.  You’ll hear that on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.  Coverage begins at 5:20pm with the Backyard
Grill Pregame Show.  So we’ll have a
hoops and hockey double-dip tonight on KFIZ.

 

The WLA home game with Fox
Valley Lutheran scheduled for Monday will be played on Wednesday night at
WLA.  The St. Mary’s Springs girls game
with New Holstein has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

High School senior Paul Holden has signed on to play
college baseball at Division Three Benedictine
College in the Chicago area. 
Holden tells KFIZ that he was notice by them after a tourney with his
Fall  Wisconsin All – Stars team and was
brought in as their top outfield recruit. He says he will study marketing.
