Brewers Hammered

The Oakland A’s used a six run 5th inning to blow by the Brewers 10-2 on Monday at Miller Park.  Starter Marco Estrada left in that inning with a hamstring strain and was hung with the loss.   Rickie Week’s provided the only offense of the night with a two run homer in the bottom of the 5th.  Weeks also had a triple in the 7th that was initially called a home run but replay reversed the call.  The series continues tonight at Kyle Lohse takes on AJ Griffin.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm on KFIZ.

Brewers Moves

Before Monday’s game the Brewers cut INF Alex Gonzalez and sent pitcher Mike Fiers to the minors.  They called up 2B Scotter Gennett from Triple-A Nashville and traded a minor league pitcher to the Braves for 3B Juan Francisco.  Manager Ron Roenicke says Gennett will platoon with Rickie Weeks at 2B.
