The American
League won the Major League Baseball All-Star Game over the National League 5-3
last night in Minneapolis.   The Angels Mike Trout was the MVP going 2×3
with a 2B, 3B and 2 RBI.  The Brewers did
well for themselves last night for the NL. 
Jonathan Lucroy went 2×2 with a pair of doubles and 2 RBI.  Aramis Ramirez went 2×3 with a run
scored.  Carlos Gomez went 0x2 at the
plate and made a nice catch in left. 
Francisco Rodriguez pitched a scoreless 7th.  In his final All-Star Game, the Yankees Derek
Jeter went 2×2 with a double.  The
Brewers will open up the 2nd half of the season on Friday night in Washington, DC.

 

Bob Uecker will
be featured in a documentary to air on Thursday night on Major League Baseball
Network.  The special will focus most on
his broadcasting and entertainment career. 
It will are at 6pm on Thursday night.

 

The Bucks
continue play in the Las Vegas Summer League tonight when they play the San
Antonio Spurs.  First round pick Jabari
Parker is averaging 14 points and 7 rebounds through three games in Vegas.
Giannis leads the team at 16 ppg.

final day of preparation the British Open at Royal Liverpool  Phil Mickelson is the defending champion.

Marian University Athletic
Director Jason Bartelt has announced that Kyle Rago will become the next head
coach of the men’s and women’s cross country and men’s and women’s track &
field programs. Rago arrives by way of Olivet Nazarene
University
where he spent
the previous six seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater following a
successful cross country and track career.
