Brewers Sweep Two From Cubs

The Brewers swept a doubleheader from the Cubs on Tuesday, winning 6-1 and 3-2.  In the opener Jean Segura, Yuni Betancourt, and Khris Davis homered as Milwaukee rallied past the Cubs.  Yovani Gallardo left the game in the 5th with hamstring injury.  Robert Wooten picked up his first big league win.  Jim Henderson notched the save.  In the night-cap Jeff Bianchi’s two run single in the 9th gave Milwaukee the win. Juan Francisco also homered in the win.  Burke Badenhop picked up the win in relief of Tyler Thornburg.  Thornburg pitched six scores innings.  Jim Henderson also picked up the save in game 2.  The series wraps up tonight as Wily Peralta takes on Edwin Jackson.  Coverage begins at 6:30pm on KFIZ.

Baseball Trade

Pitcher Jake Peavy is now a Boston Red Sox after Boston, the White Sox and Tigers got together on a three team deal.



The Packers could be without cornerback Tramon Williams for a while.   Williams suffered a knee injury that could keep him sidelined for a couple of weeks.  The Packers practice at 8:20am this morning in Green Bay.


Thompson Meets Media

Packers GM Ted Thompson met the media on Tuesday at Packers Training Camp.  One of the issues he was asked about was Brett Favre.  Thompson said he’s happy people are talking about retiring Brett Favre’s #4 sooner than later at Lambeau.


Bucks Trade Jennings…Sign Pair

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a sign and trade deal that will send Brandon Jennings to the Detroit Pistons.  Jennings gets a three-year, $24 million dollar contract and a ticket to Detroit.  The Bucks get guard Brandon Knight, forward Khris Middleton, and center Vlacheslav Kravstov.   The Bucks officially announced the signing of free agent guard Gary Neal and also first round pick Giannis Atentokounmpo.  At this point the Bucks roster has had a 10 player turnover from last season.
