Brewers Lose
The Houston Astros thumped the Brewers 10-1 last night in their series opener in Texas. Alfredo Figaro gave up five runs and five hits in 4 and a third innings of work to get hung with the loss. Scooter Gennett drove in the Brewers only run with an infield single in the 3rd inning. The series continues tonight as Kyle Lohse takes on Erik Bedard. Coverage begins at 6:35pm on KFIZ.
Braun Visits Specialist
Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun saw a hand specialist in Phoenix on Tuesday to get a 2nd opinion on his injured right thumb. Braun can come off the disabled list next week.

NBA Finals
The Miami Heat forced Game 7 of the NBA Finals with a 103-100 overtime over the San Antonio Spurs last night in Florida. The Spurs led by 5 points with less than 30 seconds to go in regulation but Ray Allen’s three-pointer tied the game with just over five seconds left to force the extra frame. Chris Bosh blocked a potential game tying three-pointer at the OT buzzer to secure the win. LeBron James finished with 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Tim Duncan had 32 points and 17 rebounds for the Spurs. Game 7 in Thursday night in Miami. It’s been 35 years since a road team has won a seventh game in the NBA Finals.
Stanley Cup Finals
It’s Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight as Boston hosts Chicago. The Bruins lead the series 2-1.

The Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association has released its All-Valley/Lakeshore District Softball Team. Oakfield’s McKaela Ryan makes 1st team as a pitcher while Laconia’s Nikki Guell is Honorable Mention. St. Mary’s Springs catcher Julia Moul is 1st Team. Oakfield’s Charlotte Pegram, St. Mary’s Springs’ Kelli Schrauth, and Oakfield’s Taylor Nolan are 1st Team infielders. Campbellsport’s Brianna Gruenwald, Lomira’s Cassie Roecker, and Fond du Lac’s Angel Payne are Honorable Mention utility players. Fond du Lac’s Dale Friedley is the District Umpire of the Year.
