Springs and WLA Advance, Fond du Lac Season Comes to an End.
Division 1
Kimberly 28
Fond du Lac 21
Fond du Lac came out strong in their playoff matchup against Kimberly, striking first with an early touchdown to take a 7-0 lead in the opening quarter. However, the momentum quickly shifted as Kimberly responded with 20 unanswered points, heading into halftime with a 20-7 advantage.
The Cardinals showed resilience to start the second half, receiving the kickoff and orchestrating a determined drive down the field. A crucial fourth-down conversion kept the drive alive, culminating in a touchdown that trimmed the deficit to 20-14.
Kimberly answered back, extending their lead to 28-14. Still, Fond du Lac refused to back down, mounting another scoring drive to pull within a touchdown at 28-21. Despite their late-game surge, the Cardinals couldn’t complete the comeback.
Turnovers proved costly for Fond du Lac, as three giveaways ultimately made the difference in the tightly contested game. With the loss, Fond du Lac concludes its season with a 5-5 overall record.
