SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital maintenance technician receives BEE Award

Robert “Bob” Gust, an SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital maintenance technician, has been named the newest recipient of the BEE (Be Exceptional Everyday) Award.

Gust was nominated by a colleague who was grateful when he went above and beyond to fix not one as was requested, but two ambulatory infusion staff stools, avoiding the need for a duplicate and separate project request. In addition, while in the department, he also learned of an air conditioning unit fix and helped to make arrangements for the work to begin expeditiously.

“We appreciate Bob’s help in getting things done and making our workday that much better,” the nominator wrote. “In the end, our patients benefited from the work Bob did, as well as the extra steps he took to make all this possible as seamlessly as possible.”

The BEE Award is specifically designed to recognize non-nursing staff members who demonstrate great teamwork and communication skills, collaboration, professionalism, exemplary service, and a commitment to excellence.
