St Agnes Hospital Welcomes New Emergency Dept Providers

Agnesian HealthCare welcomes two new providers to its Emergency Department at St. Agnes Hospital, 430 E. Division Street.

            Nicole Scharschmidt (pictured above), PA, is coming on board as a physician assistant, while Amanda Kane (pictured below), APNP, has joined as a nurse practitioner.

            Both providers will work in the Emergency Department to treat diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries, which require immediate medical intervention.  Although emergency medicine doctors and other providers are not responsible for the long-term care of the patient, their work in conducting the initial diagnosis is paramount for the prognosis of the patient’s condition.

Scharschmidt earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Carroll University in Waukesha with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Kane completed her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Concordia University in Mequon, and her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay.
