State Patrol stepping up enforcement in Washington County to go after reckless drivers

The Wisconsin State Patrol say they will be conducting a special operation in Washington County today, Thursday, April 18, 2024 to help combat risky and reckless driving.
They say the goal is to step up enforcement and education in areas identified as hotspots in the state where data shows reckless driving is a problem.
The state patrol says through the operation, officers will be looking for drivers speeding, not wearing seat belts and possibly driving while intoxicated.
