Statewide COVID-19 Negative Tests Approach 44,000
The latest numbers from Saturday show Wisconsin had 43,962 negative tests returned so far, from COVID-19 testing. Wisconsin now has 4,199 confirmed cases, with 211 deaths. Females still lead males relative to who contracts the virus, making up 54% of the confirmed cases. But, males far outpace females when it comes to who is dying from the coronavirus. Males make up almost 60% of that total.
According to the latest numbers released by Wisconsin Department of Health Services, there are 32 labs across the state, performing approximately 7,800 tests each day. While social-distancing has been in place for going on four weeks now, and another 6+ weeks to go, the hope is that the peak will be reached, and we start seeing the numbers in key categories start to decline.
