Steve Jenkins Leaving FCEDC

Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation President Steve Jenkins will be leaving the organization at the end of June. The FCEDC is affiliating with the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce to form a new organization. Jenkins says he feels that is not a good fit for him so he is looking for other opportunities. He feels they have accomplished quite a lot during his 5 ½ years with the FCEDC. He says he hopes that as they move into a new organization those successes will continue well into the future. He says he hates to leave the community if that is what new opportunities pose for him, but he feels the community has a lot of great opportunities and prospects. He says when it comes to economic development Fond du Lac County can play ball with any competitors that exist around us, but has to be willing to take risks. As for his own future he says he has some possibilities, but is not at liberty to discuss those.
