Strong storms possible Monday

An approaching Low pressure storm system will set the stage for some thunderstorms this afternoon, Monday, June 3, 2024, with the chance that some may be severe.

The National Weather Service says scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening, with a risk for strong winds and large hail, along with frequent lightning and locally heavy rain.

There is a slight chance of some showers later this morning but these are not expected to be severe. The majority of this rain will be passing to our northwest. Its a line of storms expected to develop later this afternoon that pose the risk of severe weather.
