Three Wisconsin cities rank among the safest in America.
The personal finance site SmartAsset assessed data from multiple federal agencies on natural disaster risk, traffic fatality data, and property and violent crime rates for over 300 cities with populations between 65,000 and 250,000.
The study released Tuesday ranked Waukesha the eighth safest city in the country, with Appleton placing tenth and Eau Claire right behind in eleventh place. The report named the Denver suburb of Bloomfield, Colorado as the safest city in the nation.
