Thelma Opens Pop Up Studio Downtown
Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts has opened a “Pop-Up Studio” at 17 South Main Street. Milwaukee artist Shane Walsh will work in the downtown space owned by Commonwealth Companies to create the pieces for his exhibition Rococo Beatbox, opening September 14th at Thelma. Walsh’s Pop-Up Studio will be an opportunity for the community to witness an artist’s process from beginning to end. Rococo Beatbox will open at THELMA with a free reception on September 14th at 6 pm, along with a reception for Nervous Energy, an exhibition by Milwaukee artist Sean Heiser. Following Walsh’s exhibition, Rococo Beatbox will become a permanent installation in the lobby of Thelma.
