Thief Steals From Waupun Food Pantry
A 42-year-old Waupun man will be facing charges for stealing from the Waupun Food Pantry. He was picked up on a Department of Corrections warrant at his home last Friday, but police later talked to him about a burglary that occurred at the pantry the previous day. Deputy Police Chief Jeremy Rasch says after hours’ video surveillance from the pantry was used to identify the man. Turns out the man had stolen a key to the pantry and had taken food from it 3 to 5 times over the past year. He also took some money and food from the pantry on August 17th, which he confessed to. He was taken to the Dodge County Jail.
