Time Running Out To Get Tickets For Celebration Of Giving

Time is running out to make reservations for the Fond du Lac Area Foundation’s annual “Celebration of Giving” dinner. The dinner will be at the South Hills Country Club in Fond du Lac on Tuesday, September 12th at 5:30 p.m.  Two local men will be honored for their philanthropic support of the community over the years. One of them is former Fond du Lac City Manager Tom Herre (pictured below). He has been involved in other efforts including serving on the St. Mary’s Springs Academy Board of Directors. He also is the president of the Board of Directors for the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts, served as board president at the Fond du Lac Area Foundation, has a charitable fund with the Foundation, and was actively involved in bringing the Dock Spiders baseball team to the City. Foundation Director of Finance and Development Joe Braun says the other individual is the late Harold Sabel (pictured above) who pledged multiple millions of dollars to the Foundation to help out seven area organizations. The Holy Family Parish, St. Mary’s Springs Academy and the Humane Society will be the largest recipients of those funds. Tickets for the dinner are $45 a piece or $360 for a table of eight.
