Toxicology Results Needed To Determine If Woman Was Driving While Impaired.

An update on the crash on Scott Street Wednesday morning, April 11, 2023.

As Fond du Lac Police Officers were investigating the crash, another crash was reported to be at the intersection of Scott Street and North Main Street.

Officers determined that both accident locations were related. The suspect vehicle, driven by a 33-year-old North Fond du Lac woman, struck a vehicle in the area of Scott St./Main St. and continued eastbound for approximately a half-mile and crashed into a parked pick-up truck pushing it into another vehicle.

According to the Fond du Lac Police Department, Speed and impairment appear to be factors in the crashes.

The 33-year-old woman was assessed by a Fond du Lac Police Department Drug Recognition Expert Officer and arrested for operating while impaired with a minor, and several other traffic violations.

Friends and relatives of the woman came to her defense online Wednesday to say their was no impairment and that the woman had a seizure.

In response to this, the police department said they will find out for sure once toxicology results come back from the lab.
