Tractor Accident Sends 9-Yr. Old Girl To Hospital

A Sunday afternoon tractor accident sends one girl to the hospital. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies were called just before 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon to Grandview Rd. in the Town of Empire, for a report of a child being run over by a tractor, and suffering from a severe leg injury. Once on the scene, Deputies determined the 9-year old girl was riding on a hay-style wagon, attached to a tractor, when her leg got caught in the wheel and injured her. 

ThedaStar Air Medical Transport was called to the location, with a landing zone being set up near Holy Family Church. The girl was transported to ThedaCare in Neenah where she’ s being treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Also assisting at the scene was the Eden Fire Department, Eden First Responders and City of Fond du Lac EMS.
