Train vs. Truck Accident

On Friday, November 01, 2013 at 1:43 pm the Fond du Lac County 911 Center received a report of a pickup truck versus train crash on Viaduct Rd in the Town of Friendship.  Preliminary investigation indicates a westbound pickup truck operated by a 63 year old North Fond du Lac man failed to stop for a stop sign at the railroad crossing and was struck by a southbound CN train. The operator of the truck was transported to Theda Clark Medical Center with serious injuries. Responding agencies were the Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Deputies, Wisconsin State Patrol, Van Dyne Fire Department and First Responders, North Fond du Lac EMS and Fire Department, Flight for Life Helicopter and the CN Railroad Police.
