Truck/Motorcycle Accident Takes Life Of FDL Man

An early Friday evening traffic accident leaves one person dead in the Town of Taycheedah. Fond du Lac County Sheriffs Deputies were called to the intersection of Winnebago Dr. and Taycheedah Way at 6:47 p.m. Friday evening, for reports of a crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle. 

Early investigation shows the pickup truck, driven by a 27-year old Fond du Lac man, crossed the centerline and collided with the motorcycle that was headed west, being driven by a 55-year old Fond du Lac man. The operator of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured. The crash remains under investigation. Assisting at the scene were Troopers from the WI State Patrol, Town of Calumet Fire Department and First Responders, Mt. Calvary Ambulance and City of Fond du Lac Paramedics.
