Turner Back In Court Via Video

A Halloween murder from 1973 continues to make the news almost fifty years later. The October 31, 1973 murder of then 9-year old Lisa French was front page news in Fond du Lac for what seemed like months, with Gerald Turner being arrested for the crime.

Turner was back in the news this as Fond du Lac County Circuit Court Judge Paul Czisny denied a motion to dismiss a case that would decide if Turner would be released or spend more time in a mental health facility. Turner was originally set to be released back in 2018, but a petition filed by the Wisconsin Department of Justice requested he continue the sentence in a mental health facility.

Turner will be back June 4 for a status hearing.
