Two deaths investigated in Fox Cities Sunday morning
Law enforcement in the Fox Cities are investigating a couple deaths in their area that occurred early Sunday, November 24, 2024.
At about 7:40 AM, law enforcement and rescue were called to the 1800 block of Sanders Avenue in Appleton for a report of a person shot by a gun. Officers arrived on scene and stated the person was beyond help and that ambulance crew would not be allowed to enter the crime scene.
At the same time, it was learned that the suspect fled the scene in a white BMW. Within minutes the car was spotted and followed by officers but the vehicle fled in an attempt to elude. Reaching speeds of 100 mph, the man drove north on 441 and then 41 where he exited at County Highway J. A State Patrol Trooper took advantage of the vehicle slowing for a roundabout and spun out the vehicle by hitting the rear of the car. At this point the man tried to run from the scene but was captured. Police haven’t released any other information on this incident saying only it was a disturbance with a weapon.
And at 9 AM, officers in Neenah were called to an address in the 200 block of east Doty Street for a report of a man laying in the backyard.
On the scene, officers found the deceased man but have no idea who he is. Officials are asking if anyone has ant information on who the man is or how he got to the area and died, to call the Neenah Police Department.
