Two foot pursuits occurred in Fond du Lac within blocks and hours of each other

Fond du Lac Police had two foot pursuits Wednesday, August 26, 2026, both within blocks of each other.

The first took place in the 100 block of Ledgeview Avenue just after 6 p.m. when city officers spotted a man they had been looking for walking south on Amory street from Johnson Street. When two officer converged on the location, the man took off running through yards between Ledgeview and Rees Street.

Multiple other officers set up a perimeter between Ledgeview and Rees and Park and Amory, while another officer deployed a drone to look for the man.

A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s K9 officer was called in to do a track of the area, but ultimately the man wasn’t found.

Then just after 11:30 p.m., city officers were called to a neighbor dispute on Johnson Street between Amory and Marquette Streets.

Upon arrival, the suspect in the incident had left, but was located a short time later in front of a bar on north Main Street.

When an officer attempted to talk to the man, he took off running north on Main Street and then through the Portland Street parking structure.

The officer was able to quickly catch up to the man and take him into custody. He was held on a probation hold as he was on probation from a previous, unrelated charge.
