Two Injured In Plane Crash In Green Lake County

On Thursday, July 27th, 2023, at 1:01pm, the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a 911 call reporting an aircraft in a field near Highway 49 and Townline Road in the Township of Brooklyn, about 3 miles north of Green Lake.

An occupant of the aircraft had gone to the nearest residence to report the incident.

Emergency responders and Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the scene and arrived moments later. The small plane was found down in a corn field approximately 200 feet South of Townline Road.

The aircraft operator and passenger suffered minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital.

It’s been reported the plane was headed to EAA’s Airventure from Indiana when the engine stopped working. The plane landed in a corn field and then flipped over.

Responding to the scene was the Green Lake Fire Department, Berlin EMS, the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office and FAA Officials.
