Two Kids Safe After Falling Through Thin Ice In FDL

Two FDL kids are safe today following a scare at the FDL County Fairgrounds retention ponds. Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue called out shortly after 1:30 Friday afternoon for a report of 2 kids who had fallen through the ice. 

The fire department said both kids were able to pull themselves out due to the shallow condition of the pond. The 2 were evaluated by paramedics and appeared to be in good condition. The ice was very thin, and residents are being warned again to stay off the ice on the ponds, and remember that ice is never 100% safe.
