Two reports of home invasions in Oshkosh

Oshkosh police are investigating two home invasions where women found a man in their bedroom.

On April 1, a woman reported a man standing in the doorway of her bedroom in the 800 block of Vine Avenue on the city’s near north side. The incident happened just before 7:30 AM and the man fled when the woman yelled at the man. She gave a description of a skinny man around 6 feet tall wearing a white mask.

The second reported home entry occurred on the 14th of April where a woman reported she woke up to a man standing over her in bed at about 4 AM in the 1200-block of Wisconsin Street. The woman screamed, and the man ran away. She described the man as college aged and close to 6 feet tall with a muscular build wearing a black ski mask.

Police say because the suspects descriptions are different in the two cases, they aren’t sure the cases are related, though the addresses are only about 4 blocks from each other.
