Two rollover crashes due to speed reported on Pioneer Road just hours apart

Fond du Lac Police have released information about the driver of the serious rollover crash Monday morning, April 7, 2025, on Pioneer Road and also reported a second rollover crash in the same area.
The driver of the overnight crash was reported as a 38-year-old man from Fond du Lac.
The crash, which was discovered at about 2:45 AM, initially had the driver trapped and unconscious. Fond du Lac Police officers on scene were able to successfully extricate him and quickly provided medical assistance. Fire Rescue crews arrived on scene and performed multiple life-saving measures before transporting the man with life-threatening injuries to the Fond du Lac County Airport. He was then transferred to a Flight for Life medical helicopter for transport to Froedtert Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Hours later police reported a second rollover crash on Pioneer Road.
Just before 9 a.m., FDL police and Fire Rescue were called to just north of Scott Street. Officers determined that a 20-year-old woman from Neenah was traveling southbound on Pioneer Road when she failed to negotiate a curve, causing her vehicle to leave the road and roll over in the ditch. She was the only occupant in the vehicle, and was treated on-site by Fire Rescue personnel for non-serious injuries. Police say speed was a factor in both crashes.
